SuperControl website design that turns availability into bookings.
You already run the best-connected system in UK self-catering. Now give it a shopfront worth the nightly rate — premium design, live availability, and a booking journey guests finish on their phone.
The situation
SuperControl is doing its job. The website is not.
SuperControl connects you to more than twenty-five channels — Sykes, Hoseasons, Premier Cottages, Cottages.com, Airbnb, Booking.com, Snaptrip and the rest. That reach is exactly why the direct channel matters so much: every one of those bookings arrives with a commission attached, and the guest belongs to the platform, not to you.
The website is the only channel where the margin is entirely yours. For most SuperControl users it is also the weakest link — a dated theme, an availability calendar bolted into a sidebar, and a booking journey that asks the guest to trust a page that does not look like the rest of the site. We fix that, without touching a single one of your channel connections.

Integration
Two ways to connect. We will tell you which one you need.
Booking engine, designed around
SuperControl’s standard integration needs no API and is quick, robust and well supported. We embed it, style it as far as the platform allows, and design the pages either side of it so carefully that the guest never feels a seam. Right for single properties and small collections where speed matters.
- Live availability and pricing on every property page
- Fast to build, low ongoing maintenance
- Fully supported by SuperControl
API-led, entirely your own
Where you need real control — multi-property search, map views, filters by hot tub, dog-friendly, sleeps and location, or a checkout that never leaves your domain — we build against the SuperControl API. Slower, more involved, and worth it once you are past a handful of properties.
- Custom search, filtering and map experiences
- Property data rendered statically for speed and SEO
- Checkout kept on your domain wherever possible
What we do differently
Nine things we get right that most SuperControl sites get wrong.
Availability above the fold
The calendar is the product. It belongs on the property page at first paint, not three clicks in or hidden in a tab.
Honest total pricing, early
Cleaning, pets, extras and deposits shown before the final step. Surprise costs at checkout are the single biggest cause of abandonment.
Changeover rules made visible
Fixed Friday and Saturday changeovers, short-break windows and seasonal minimums shown clearly, so guests never select dates they cannot have.
Property pages built for search
One page per property, properly structured, with location, sleeps, features and schema markup. These are the pages that rank for ‘dog friendly cottage in…’.
Photography given room
Full-width, fast-loading, art-directed. If the interiors are the reason people book, stop showing them at 600 pixels wide.
Mobile-first booking
Sixty-one per cent of online accommodation bookings now happen on mobile. The date picker and guest selector are designed for a thumb first, a mouse second.
Speed as a design constraint
A tenth of a second of mobile speed is worth around ten per cent on travel booking rates. We treat load time as a design decision, not an afterthought.
Local content that earns traffic
Location and guide pages that answer what guests actually search, linked properly into your property pages.
Migration without rank loss
Full URL map, 301s, metadata carried across, and daily Search Console monitoring for the first fortnight after launch.

Straight answers about SuperControl and direct bookings.
No sales gloss, and no pretending something is simple when it is not.
Can I build a custom website that connects to SuperControl?
Yes. SuperControl supports both an embeddable booking engine that needs no API, and a full API for deeper builds. Either way your website can show live availability and take bookings directly, without changing anything about how you run the business.
For most owners we use the booking engine for the transactional steps and design everything around it so the guest never feels a seam. For portfolios and agencies we pull availability, pricing and property data through the API instead, so search, filtering and property pages are entirely your own.
Will I lose my Sykes and Hoseasons connections if I change my website?
No. Your channels connect to SuperControl, not to your website. Sykes, Hoseasons, Premier Cottages, Cottages.com, Airbnb and Booking.com all keep syncing exactly as before, throughout the build and after launch.
This is the single most common worry and it is entirely unfounded. The website is a separate layer. We have never had a channel connection interrupted by a website rebuild.
Does SuperControl let me take commission-free direct bookings?
Yes. Bookings taken through your own SuperControl-integrated website carry no channel commission — only your payment processing fees. That is the whole economic argument for the direct channel.
For comparison, a UK agency channel typically takes 18–22% including VAT4, and Booking.com averages around 15%3. The website is the only channel where the margin is entirely yours.
Can the SuperControl booking form be styled to match my brand?
Meaningfully, yes — but not infinitely, and we would rather tell you that now. The embedded engine accepts substantial styling and we push it as far as it goes.
Where an operator needs total control over the checkout — their own fields, their own steps, their own domain throughout — the honest answer is an API build rather than a restyled embed. We make that call in the audit, before anything is scoped.
Does a SuperControl website handle fixed changeover days and short breaks correctly?
It can, and getting it right is the difference between a site that converts and one that frustrates. Fixed Friday and Saturday changeovers, seasonal minimum stays, short-break windows and party-size pricing all have to be visible in the availability display itself.
Most SuperControl sites only enforce these rules at the final step. The guest picks dates, gets to checkout, and is told no. They do not try again — they go back to the OTA.
Can I move to a new SuperControl website without losing my Google rankings?
Yes, if the migration is planned rather than improvised. Every build includes a full URL map, one-hop 301 redirects, metadata carried across and a post-launch crawl.
We monitor Search Console daily for the first fortnight and weekly for the first quarter. Losing rankings during a rebuild is a choice, not an inevitability.

We are not SuperControl, and we are not trying to replace it.
SuperControl runs your operation — channels, calendars, rates, guest admin — and it does that well. We build the website that sits in front of it. If you are here looking for property management software, SuperControl’s own site is the right place to go. If you have SuperControl and the website in front of it is letting it down, that is exactly what we do.
